Dr Dominic is an Assistant Professor at ASU London, where he leads the Ecological Design and Living Lab modules. He’s an environmental engineer who uses IoT base sensor and nature based solution to help improve the sustainability and health of built environment. Building low-cost sensors that measure air quality, comfort, and the health of the spaces we live and work in.
Alongside his teaching, he’s an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL, working on IoT and edge-AI environmental sensing, indoor environmental quality, and nature-based solutions. He also brings industry experience to his teaching, having delivered research and consultancy on healthy, sustainable buildings for clients across the sector. Much of what he researches feeds straight into the classroom: students meet real deployments, live data, and case studies rather than textbook examples alone.
He holds an EngD from UCL, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a BEng from Cardiff University, and is an accredited BREEAM AP and WELL AP. He’s happiest when students are building, testing, and prototyping getting hands-on with the tools that make the built environment measurably better.
