Whether you get furnished or unfurnished, shared or private will depend entirely on your needs. You also need to consider the cost of bills, including gas, electricity and the internet when looking at accommodation. Some accommodations will include all bills in the cost of the rent, while others will require you to set them up and pay for them yourself. Depending on which accommodation you choose, you might be able to share your bills with your flatmates.
As a full time student, you’ll not be required to pay council tax. You’ll be able to apply for this once you are fully enrolled as a ASU London student. For this you’ll need a letter of proof that you are a student which we’ll be happy to provide upon request, after you have enrolled. For more information visit the gov.uk website.
