Safe, supported, and student-friendly housing options

At ASU London, we know that where you live shapes your entire university experience. While ASU London does not have its own residences, you won’t be navigating the housing process on your own.

You can filter options to suit your ideal location, budget, type of housemates and even properties with bills included in your rental price.

Some tips when searching for a private room to rent:

• Filter to “most recently added” to avoid any older ads coming up – even something added 7 days ago could already be gone.

• Try to view the property ASAP – sites are good at hosting virtual or video viewings if required – the sooner you can view,

• Double check transport links and distance from campus.

ASU London does not have its own dorms, but you will be fully supported in finding housing. Our accommodation team works closely with trusted, well-established student housing providers across London, and we’ll guide you through every step of the process.

Yes. Our accommodation team will walk you through your options, explain neighborhood differences, help you compare commute times and costs, and answer questions about contracts or room types. You won’t be doing this alone.

Absolutely. The student residences we recommend are professionally managed, offer secure entry, and typically include onsite staff and 24/7 support. These are the same providers used by universities across the UK and are designed specifically for student safety and wellbeing.

Our campus is located in central London with excellent transport links. Most students live within a short bus or Tube ride, or choose neighbourhoods slightly farther out that offer great value and quick commutes.

We encourage students to begin exploring options shortly after accepting their offer. Our team will provide guidance and recommended providers to help you begin the search at the right time.

You’ll submit your application directly to the accommodation provider you choose with support from ASU London housing advisors. Throughout the entire process, our team will help you understand your options and make confident decisions: studenthub@asu-london.ac.uk

Whether you get furnished or unfurnished, shared or private will depend entirely on your needs. You also need to consider the cost of bills, including gas, electricity and the internet when looking at accommodation. Some accommodations will include all bills in the cost of the rent, while others will require you to set them up and pay for them yourself. Depending on which accommodation you choose, you might be able to share your bills with your flatmates.

As a full time student, you’ll not be required to pay council tax. You’ll be able to apply for this once you are fully enrolled as a ASU London student. For this you’ll need a letter of proof that you are a student which we’ll be happy to provide upon request, after you have enrolled. For more information visit the gov.uk website.
