Teaching and Learning

We use project based, problem based learning, where students work in groups and apply the theory to live challenges. It has the same academic rigor as any UK degree, however the teaching style if different, it is not broadcast teaching in large lecture theatres, it is more active learning.

Yes, the UK engineering bachelors are recognised in Canada and the US as these countries are part of the ‘Washington Accord’.

It is an option pathway, not mandatory, but an opportunity for those who wish to pursue it. As with any UK degree, you can choose from a range of masters in the UK and other countries. The difference here, instead of it being a 2-year Master’s in the US, it would be a 1-year Master’s from our pre-approved pathways.

TEDI-London was founded by ASU, NUSW and KCL, and they all remain involved, ASU London students still currently have the option to travel to ASU or UNSW in their third year for their Major Project module.

Class sizes can vary from year to year. However, we aim to maintain a ratio of one academic to 25 students.

Classes are taught by Academics (Associate & Assistant Professors and Teaching Fellows).

No. ASU London is separate to Arizona State University, they may be able to apply for a transfer but then it would be up to Arizona State University if they accepted any credit that had been awarded.

BEng/MEng (Hons) Global Design Engineering has been offered since September 2021; it is accredited by both IET and IED. Our new programmes aren’t currently eligible for accreditation.

Completing the ASU London Bachelor’s degree (with at least a 2:2) means that you would meet the academic requirements for the one year’s master at ASU on the approved pathways. There would still be an application process and all offers would be subject to a successful visa application.

There are currently opportunities in the third year to undertake a 20-week project at either Arizona or UNSW Sydney.

We currently have about 200 students studying our engineering programmes.

Engineering with Mechatronics Systems, it a new programme, once it has run through a full cohort it will also be accredited.

Computer Science is a brand new programme for 2026, so we don’t yet have data on acceptance rates.

Currently we are only offering September intakes, as we are moving tour new campus in September.

Students will typically take two modules per semester. Each module has typically 6 hours timetable contact time per week. We try to ensure that students are on campus for 3 days per week, to allow students to manage self-study, work and caring responsibilities around this.

Admissions and Applications

Yes, ASU London has a separate application, international students can apply directly on our website.

This is unlikely, buy we can look at what credits and at what level to see if the is any credit that could be awarded.

If you are a UK applicant, and you have already submitted through UCAS you may have to wait until March when UCAS Extra opens. Where you will be able to add extra course choices.

Equal Consideration deadline through UCAS is the 14 of January.

For International or direct applicants our first deadline is the 31 of January.

Accommodation

ASU London does not have its own accommodation. However with the central London location, there are lots of options for students to choose from. We have gathered a few options here Accommodation – ASU London.

No, students will have to cover the cost of their accommodation, it is not included in the tuition fee.

Fees and Finance

No, ASU London operates our own Scholarship scheme, that will be awarded to International students.

International students: £23,600pa, Scholarships will be deducted from the fee.

Visa

ASU London and Arizona State University are two separate institutions. We will guide you through obtaining a student visa once you have accepted your offer with us to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible.

Visits

We will be offering visits when we move to our new campus in September 2026.
