What does 'subject to approval' mean?

Every new degree course at ASU London must be formally approved before it can run. Approval confirms that a course meets the academic standards expected of a UK degree-awarding higher education provider. As ASU London awards its own degrees, courses are approved by our Academic Board.

A course marked ‘subject to approval’ is still going through ASU London’s formal approval process. The course can only be confirmed once its content and structure have received final approval.

Providers want you to have the full picture when choosing what to study. Advertising new courses early means you can consider every option open to you and apply for the one that suits you best, without waiting another year. We regularly review existing and develop new courses. Our courses are shaped by employers and built around project-based learning. They help you develop the real-world experience and future-focused skills you need for your career.

Courses advertised as ‘subject to approval’ are expected to be approved. The approval process helps us ensure that each course offers a high-quality, relevant experience, and may sometimes lead to changes that further strengthen its content. If there are any material changes to the information provided about your course, or if the course does not run, we will notify you promptly and provide clear information to help you make an informed decision about your available options.

If you have questions about a course you have applied for, please contact our admissions team.
